Background and objectives
Article 8 of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EU)2023/1791 requires Member States to achieve a minimum amount of cumulative energy savings over ten years period, currently 2021-2030. Member States can implement Energy Efficiency Obligation Schemes and/or Alternative measures to achieve their target.
Since December 2022, the ENSMOV Plus project has developed resources and organised experience sharing activities about Member States’ policy measures, their design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
The objectives of the event are to share and discuss what was learned over these three years, what could be key issues for the coming years and how we can build on the experience from recent years to improve policies and increase their impacts.
While we are getting closer to the mid-term of the 2021-2030 period, and that the transposition deadline for the EED recast is the previous week (11th of October, 2025), this is the perfect time to meet!
The ENSMOV Plus’ final event is part of a two-day conference on 15-16 October, combining different LIFE funded projects: Ineexs, Regio1st, CoolLife, RENOVERTY, Reverter, EP-0, GigaRegioFactory and ENSMOV Plus.
This conference is a unique opportunity to meet, hear from research developed and experience shared in the past four years and interact with experts and practitioners from various countries and fields, and working on shaping the future of energy in Europe.
The topics of the conference include innovative energy efficiency services, regional energy planning, implementing Energy Efficiency First, space cooling policies, tackling energy poverty and national energy efficiency policies.
